001The Week
What is Copenhagen Climate Week?+

A week-long, citywide convening of climate builders, founders, policymakers, and Copenhageners: talks, tours, dinners, demos, and walks hosted across ten districts and nearby locales by the city's studios, foundations, agencies, and startups. Founded in 2026 as the newest chapter of the Climate Week Network.

When and where is it?+

7–13 September 2026. There is no conference center: the city is the venue. Events run across Indre By, Vesterbro, Nørrebro, Christianshavn, Amager, Refshaleøen, Frederiksberg, and beyond, each listed with its own location and meeting point.

Do I need a ticket?+

There is no week-wide ticket. Most events are free with RSVP; some hosts run paid or invite-only sessions, handled by the host directly. Each listing states its own terms. Check the event, not the week.

How does CPHCW relate to the Climate Week Network?+

Copenhagen is a chapter of the Climate Week Network, in partnership with Climatebase, joining a movement of 20+ climate weeks spanning San Francisco, Houston, Prague, Boston, Berlin, and beyond. A chapter, not a franchise: each city brings what it knows. Copenhagen brings the model.

002Hosting an Event
Who can host an event?+

Studios, foundations, agencies, startups, research groups, civic organisations, and serious collectives: anyone in or around Copenhagen with something real to show or say about the climate transition. You don't need to be a "climate company"; you need a climate-relevant event.

What does it cost to host?+

Nothing. Listing is free. You bring the venue, the content, and the hosting; we bring the listing, the network, and the promotion. Hosts running paid events keep their own ticketing.

How are submissions reviewed?+

Weekly, by a person. You hear back within seven days. We look for events that are specific, climate-relevant, open in spirit, and safe. We'll occasionally suggest a different day or district to balance the programme. Sales pitches dressed as panels get politely declined.

Until the full submission process opens, register your interest and we'll contact you when it does.

What support do hosts get?+

A listing in the official programme, inclusion in week-of communications, the host briefing pack, and plumbing into the network of other hosts. We don't provide venues or budgets; anchor-partnered events excepted.

003Partnering
How do partnerships work?+

Three tiers: Civic (standing with the week), Anchor (marquee presence, limited to three), and Programme (own a track or district, by introduction). Phase 1 is deliberately small. Register interest and we'll send the prospectus.

Can we sponsor a single event instead?+

Often, yes, usually arranged directly with the event's host, with our blessing. Write to programme@copenhagenclimateweek.org and we'll match you.

004Practical
What languages are events in?+

English is the working language of the week; many events are bilingual or in Danish. Every listing states its language. The site itself runs in English.

Is the week accessible?+

Each listing flags wheelchair access (step-free entry, accessible restroom) and family-friendliness, declared by the host and spot-checked by us. If you have a specific access need for a specific event, write to the host or to hello@copenhagenclimateweek.org and we'll sort it.

Is there a code of conduct?+

Yes. It applies to every listed event, host, partner, and attendee. The short version: be generous, be honest about what hasn't worked, and treat everyone in the room as a colleague. The full text ships with the host briefing pack.

I'm press. Where do I start?+

The press kit has boilerplate, logos, fact sheet, and direct contacts. For interviews and embargoed previews: press@copenhagenclimateweek.org.

I just want to be kept in the loop.+

That's the easiest one: leave your email. Programme, speakers, and announcements, never more than once a month.
