What this site stores on your device, and why. The short version: essentials, plus privacy-respecting analytics you can decline.

Our approach

Copenhagen Climate Week is built to respect your privacy. The site uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use one analytics tool, Google Analytics, to understand traffic in aggregate, configured to minimise the data it collects.

Strictly necessary

We may use a small number of essential cookies or local-storage entries required for the site to function, for example remembering a form draft you started. These do not track you across other sites.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly where they come from. It sets cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_*) used to distinguish visitors and remember session activity; these persist for up to two years unless you clear them. We use this only in aggregate to improve the site, never to profile you or serve ads, and we do not sell this data. IP addresses are anonymised by Google before processing. To opt out across all sites, you can install Google’s browser opt-out add-on, or block cookies as described below.

Other third-party tools

Should we embed further third-party tools (such as a Lu.ma calendar), we will list them here and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so may affect conveniences like saved form drafts but will not prevent you from using the site.

You can also change your analytics choice at any time.
